Swastha Aviyan Nepal (SAN) is a non-governmental, non-profit-sharing organization established in August 2020. Our mission is to support underprivileged populations with their critical healthcare needs, focusing primarily on organ transplantation, dialysis, and the prevention of non-communicable diseases.

Because we operate on a non-profit-sharing basis, our treatment costs are significantly lower than those at private hospitals. While we strive to provide low-cost or completely free health services for poor and helpless individuals, this is made possible exclusively through the generosity of our donors.

Our center operates 5 advanced dialysis machines and utilizes an updated water filtration system that meets rigorous AAMI standards to safeguard the dialysis process. We also maintain a highly praised medical waste management system.
Dr. Pukar Chandra Shrestha is a transplant pioneer in Nepal and the Lead Kidney and Liver Transplant Surgeon at SAN. He personally established the government's Shahid Dharmabhakta National Transplant Centre (SDNTC) and has conducted over 1,600 kidney transplants (99% success rate) and 35 liver transplants (93% success rate).
Yes. A major objective of SAN is to help transplant recipients become self-reliant. We provide skill development training to empower patients and their families to start their own businesses and become financially independent.
As a non-profit organization, our revenues are obtained exclusively through donations. We rely on contributions from private sectors, banks, NGOs, INGOs, the government, and global donors to fund our life-saving operations.
